Henry,
I couldn't get it to load, I get a "Failed" message.
I guess I'll have to keep trying, thanks.

I unpacked and put these out on my web site as simple mp3 files.
Just click on the songs at the link below to play or right click each song to save on your computer.

Just how awesome it is to listen to this stuff..!! It was the very stuff that made me want to play the pedal steel in the first place. Fantastic !!!
How refreshing also. Several things really stick out to me, first and foremost, Buddy's playing. Also, how dry his sound was with little, if any verb. Buddy sounded so great !! Like Pete said, great mic placement. In addition, how perfectly on the mark Ray's voice was. No pitch correction needed, or available for that matter. There were likely no stage monitors either.
The whole thing is an absolute delight and everyone involved sounds great.
Thanks so much Scott, for posting this and for the e-mail...!!!
Sincerely,
Chris "Tiny" Olson

Awesome...kinda bittersweet since it was recorded by Kenny Dail, a great friend and one of the brighter lights the forum has known....

Thanks John for the kind words about Kenny Dail. He was my teacher and a wonderfully kind person. He moved back here to Kinston after many years in Virginia and we enjoyed weekly jam sessions up until his passing.

What a thrill to hear Buddy backing up my favorite country singer, and all wrapped up in my favorite country band! LOL!!
Thanks for posting this, Scott.
Best regards,
