If you are coming to the SC Steel Guitar Convention this weekend, and are planning on staying at the hotel, please make sure you call the direct line, (803) 251-9742 and speak with Brandi to get the SCSG rate of $99.99, not the national number for Sleep Inn.
Brett Crisp and Joe Turner did not disappoint the audience.
Thanks to Ron and Ronnie Kyne from WV performing as father/son, passing along the love for the instrument to the next generation.
Gary and Pam Catlin came down from MD and added to the great music.
Bill Nicholson, Mike Taylor, and The McKoy Brothers all played their own brand of steel and guitar sounds. Mike also did some guitar picking, giving Bob Strickland a break. The audience couldn't say enough good things about the venue, the players, and the hospitality.
Wendell Gurley, always a great vocal addition to every steel show, sang several good old Ray Price tunes.
