It brought back memories for me, too!
While packing up after our job tonight, a lady came up and complemented me on my playing, and said it reminded her of her brother. I asked his name, thinking I might know him. It was Larry Sasser’s sister! We only had a few minutes to talk, but I told her that I did know Larry and had gotten to know him pretty well after he retired from Nashville Now and moved back to Georgia. Larry had enough stories to fill a book. But I guess anyone who was on the road with Del Reeves and Ray Stephens would. And the things that went on at the GOO and Nashville Now makes you wonder how they kept a job. I’m glad it brought back memories of Larry for her, it sure did for me.
