I recently purchased a Sho Bud Super Pro. It the first steel I’ve owned that has 6 knee levers; all my other steels have 5 knee levers. I’m using this 6th knee lever in the stock fashion, on the C6 neck only, raising the A-4th string from A to Bb and I really like this change. What I’m not fond of is the stock placement of this knee lever; it seems too far to the right and about parallel to the 8th floor pedal. I haven’t gotten used to its placement so I’m not using it as much as I would if it were placed in a more convenient spot in the undercarriage. Have any other Super Pro players felt the same way about the placement of this 6th knee lever?
I’m debating moving it more toward the middle of the steel, further away from the changer end. I think it would be pretty easy to move it a little to the left, so it’s parallel to the 7th pedal. But I’d have to figure out how to implement the knee lever stop (and where to put it). Has anyone moved this 6th knee lever on their Super Pro? I’d really like to hear about how you’ve done this, where you put it and how successful it is. Please include a pic or two if you could.
Thanks,
Bob M.
