Peavey Monitor Magazine Profex II
I’m sure that we all remember the Peavey Monitor magazine. During the late summer or early fall of 1993, I walked into the Pied Piper music store in Huntington, WV. and picked up the current Peavey Monitor magazine. While flipping through the pages, I came across an article regarding the new Peavey Profex II. It interested me enough that I ordered one that day. About a week or so later, I received a call from the store that it had come in and was available for pickup. Whenever I picked it up, one of the sales engineers took it out of the box, plugged it in, hooking it up through the power amp in input on a Nashville 400 and began showing me some of its capabilities. Previously, I had noticed in the Monitor magazine that there were 3 steel guitar presets listed. I mentioned this to the sales person and he took those presets shown in the magazine and manually entered them into my new Profex II for me. I would like to have those initial 3 presets as i used them for about a year before obtaining a cache card with the Newman presets. Does anyone have that previously mentioned Peavey Monitor magazine? Thank you for your consideration.

Jerry, I have 2 stacks of Peavey Monitor mags. Most of them just have issue numbers without dates so it'll take me some time to look through them.
I'll let you know if I come across that one.
Can you remember anything else about that issue that might help me look for it?

UPDATE!
Well, you may be in luck. I did find a 1993 Monitor vol. 12 issue 1. It is the Namm issue with articles on John Anderson, Billy Dean, Michelle Wright and many other artists.
There is a 2 page write up by Jeff Newman about the Profex II. There are 3 steel program presets with settings shown in this article.
They are:
3B+RV+DL
3B+CH+DL+RV
3B+CH+RV+DL
If this is the one you need, I'm happy to send you the magazine if you PM me your mailing address Jerry.

32 yrs. almost old as me! Yeah, I'm kind of a pack rat. I have lots of old Peavey mags, media, catalogs, Jeffran newsletters, PSGA newsletters, ISGC programs, old SG and SGWorld mags etc.....lots of things like that. Nice to have around when nostalgia strikes.
Still useful, relative and entertaining things to read.
I returned a PM to you. I'm happy for you to keep the magazine for the next 32 yrs. if you want it or I can copy, scan parts you want. Up to you.
