Brennen Leigh

Post by Will Houston »

Singer, song writer, thank you for 20 years of a more traditional style of country music. Her new album "Don't You Ever Give Up on Love" is out today, on utube and other music streaming. A good sample of her music is the song "Tell Me", a good video on utube. I don't know who plays steel on the new album, no info I could find on that yet, but there is plenty. Check her out if you don't know her.

Brennen Leigh is one of my favorite artists. Her new record is stellar and Kevin Skrla is producer and playing the steel on it.

Her singing and songwriting never cease to leave me inspired. She is also kind and encouraging. I'll never forget I met her when she lived in Nashville, shortly after I had moved to town. I told her I was new to playing country music and she looked at me and told me that I belonged here. She is a gem. I love listening to her interviews with her Guy Clark stories.

I was there for her Opry debut, I snuck backstage and she signed my show poster for me. Brennen is a hard working lady worth every accolade there is. She is registered here on the forum and occasionally dabbles in steel guitar, from what I understand.
