Les, I've found MS Word97, which probably uses the same routine to convert to HTML does a lousy job. However, after it's coverted to HTML then MSWord does pretty good with it.

My copedent on my web page is in an HTML format but I had to go in and fix it after MSWord converted it to HTML.

I did mine, initially, as a MSWord Chart, coverted it to HTML, then fixed the conversion screwups.

HTML seems to treat spaces differently and it seems to me to be the problem. Some of our HTML experts could comment on that.

"Save As HTML..." is one of Microsoft's "innovations". Consumers really like this stuff, according to Microsoft. Yeah, right.
