Beyerdynamic MC930 ?

Post by Randy Beavers »

This is a mic I'm considering and I wanted to see if any of you have any experience with it. MC930

Thanks,
Randy

What is the primary use you are planning for it?

John, I want it for acoustic guitar, drum overheads, live bands, etc. I would even like to try it on a steel amp with as flat a frequency as it has. I would love to come up with a pair of KM 84s but most folks won't part with them and then if they do, they are pricey. This mic, from what others are saying about it, is about as close as you can get to a 84, and for the moment the price is very good.

Looks nice to me--what's the price? (you can pm me) I like a lot of the Beyer stuff I have used, though I don't own any :). I do have 4 KM84s though... Most of the Chinese small diaphram stuff sounds pretty harsh to my ears, though I would like to hear that Chamelon SD tube that is out and see how it compares to my small SD tube Neumanns. If the price is right for a pair, go for it, especially if they have a return policy...:)

You can do it with bbcode

The link looks better now but doesn't take you all the way there. Just scroll down to the MC930 and click on it.
