This is a pair of similar licks that I have been playing on banjo for a long time. They are in the style of licks commonly used by bluegrass fiddle players to end a tune. I personally use them either before or after (more often after) a shave-and-a-haircut lick. I can tab out the shave-and-a-haircut lick I use on the E9 pedal steel if anyone wants it.
The rhythm for these licks is even 8th or 16th notes with the first three notes of each lick being pickup notes and the first E falling on the first beat. Then it's a total of 13 notes with the last note held for as long as you would like. Optionally you can omit the first B note and start with the C# but then you're still aiming to have the E note on the first beat of the next measure.
As an alternative in the first lick, you can play the first note on the F# string by using the G lever to lower the G# string to F# and then raise it to G# by releasing the lever. I put the alternative note in parentheses above the regular note. So you can play one or the other. I find that that that's a little smoother to pick and having another pedal/lever sounds nice but I tabbed it with the note on the F# as well because I know that not everybody has that change. But if you do have that change, then try both out and see which one you like best.
