Black Box 230V for use in Australia

Post by Mark Keogh »

Hi, I am wanting to get a Sarno black box that I can use in Australia with 230 volts. I know this topic has been discussed previously and the conversion was made possible but I am looking for confirmation before ordering one. I'm considering just going with a Matchbox from Goodrich but am hoping the BB tube preamp might provide a little more sizzle for the old Session 400 that I'm growing to like quite a bit. I've emailed Brad but haven't heard back. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Absolutely can be done and it is easy to do. Reach out to David Rogerson who has one and lives near Melbourne for more information.

Hope this helps.

BB mini uses a wall wart. So you could either get, or ask Brad if he has a 220 one.
