Steel Players in Kyoto or Osaka Japan??

Post by Bill Cunningham »

I will be stranded in Kyoto over the July 4th weekend. Anybody know where I might hook up with any players? I will also be searching for a hotdog on the 4th :(

Bill, I’m wicked envious. I was there many years ago - wish I was there now.

I’ve worked for a Japanese company for years and get to Tokyo 2-3 times a year and occasionally to Kyoto. Usually it’s just a couple of days but this time I will be in Kyoto over the weekend. I did go to Mitsuo’s shop in Tokyo once 12-15 years ago.

Hey Bill -

Cool picture - Happy 4th wherever you are! My wife & I honeymooned in Japan many years ago & we have the greatest memories of our time there, particularly Kyoto.

Many regards,
Frank

PS Let me know if you ever figure out how to rotate pictures on the new Forum - I haven't been able to.

Frank, I had to do this in microsoft image tool in win 11. Following the tools to first rotate then open designer to crop which helps to resize the photo. I'm not sure I can do it again to be honest, but these are steps I think I used.

Generally, I think photos that load sideway is due to too large file size. Most cell phone cameras can resize but it has to be done through some separate app.

Well, the photo still looks to be too large for the page without scrolling on my teeny pc, but that's the way it loaded. I might be able to resize it again, so I'll look into it.
