I was having difficulty trying to get the right sound from my guitar while, non-professionally, and, trying different microphones when all of a sudden I said to myself - try placing the microphone inside the amp. Well, lo and behold, I got the full smooth sound I was looking for. There were no extraneous noise, sound was crisp and clean. I have the Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb-Amp and I think the cabinet molded the sound.
It's worth a try. Let me know what you think.
