That's a pet peeve of mine with these Bloodshot recordings. Niether the Spade Cooley or Hank Thompson albums have any musicians listed. I know most of the stuff that they are releasing is radio transcription recordings, but I wish they'd do their homework on the session personnel. Look at the great job Krazy Kat and Bear Family do with their sleeve notes. I wish Bloodshot would treat this stuff with a little more respect. By the way any one have any idea who the steel player with Pee Wee King is on this album? I'd sure like to hear some of Bobby Koefer's recordings withthem.

I'm glad to hear these are available again. I've always loved the music but not from Pee Wee. I always thought he rode to the Hall of Fame on the coat tails of Redd Stewart. He and Redd wrote all those great songs together (Redd probably wrote them by himself) and Redd gave us some of the most beautiful vocals ever heard in the history of Country Music. My personal favorite is a tune titled "Backward, Turn Backward, Oh Time in Your Flight" which has a stellar vocal by Redd. I think he should be in the Hall of Fame and not Pee Wee as he only played the accordion. I saw PWK at the Grand Ol' Opry once and he actually "SANG" the Tennessee Waltz. It was horrible! Kenny Dail told me that Pee Wee once forgot and left his accordion on the back seat of his car and hurried back to get it before it was stolen. Guess what! When he got back someone had put another one with it. Now he's got two!
